New Year's Resolutions, AKA: LOLing by February

February? That's ambitious. I don't know why New Year's resolutions are so hard, but they are. Maybe they're the same goals we set for ourselves at any other time of year, but there's just some added pressure because everyone's doing it or because we try to do too many things at once. Or maybe we save them for the new year because they are the most difficult ones to accomplish. Any way you spin it, they're HARD.

I find New Year's resolutions hilarious because they are the same literally every year, at least they are for me. So clearly there is a disconnect somewhere. This year I gave myself some (somewhat) easy ones to start off with so I'm not completely destined to fail.

1. Smile more
Anyone who knows me knows I'm not the most jolly person on the planet, but I can at least try to make more of an effort to fake it, right?

2. Take more pictures/videos
I like having pictures and videos to look back on, and I've gotten fairly lazy with it.

3. Read More
If you're in school, you know reading for fun is not really an option, but since I'm graduating in May, I'll hopefully have more time for it. This is also a resolution to PUT THE IPAD DOWN. I hate thinking that I might have to be like a kid and limit myself to one hour of iPad time a day... That's sad. But I need to put Two Dots and Candy Crush down, so it might have to happen.

4. Be more organized
Losing things is not fun. In high school, I was super organized. I don't know what college did to me, but I can never find anything now. I need to start filing everything so when I need it, BOOM! Right there, in alphabetical order, everything I need. Or maybe it's just school stuff I need to work on because I don't have problems with anything else.

5. Go on walks with Mom
Because I could really use some* exercise. Gotta start somewhere!
*a lot of

Anyways, tomorrow marks my last first day of school. It's a little surreal. I'm not even a little bit sad about it, though. I'm thankful. There have been a few times when I sincerely questioned whether I would be able to get it done, but here we almost are. How crazy. I've been in some kind of school since I was 4 years old, and it's almost over. Thank God.

I'm living back at home for my last semester, so I'll be commuting on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Here's to hoping the traffic isn't too terrible, I don't get into any car accidents or have any breakdowns, and I don't run out of awesome mix CDs to keep me entertained during all those hours in my car!

Happy New Year, Everyone!

XOXO Ness
