Stop! Drop! Vacation Is Coming!

For some reason, I love this picture!

This is one of my favorite pictures!

I'm SO PUMPED to go to the beach this year! So I posted a few pictures from last year. I seriously can't wait, though. I haven't seen most of my family in a year and I am ready! So since, A. I haven't done a video in a while, and B. This is the only exciting thing in my life right now, there you have it!

Like all of my videos, this one didn't turn out quite how I envisioned it. Surprise, surprise! But this one took some serious work, so I am proud of it nonetheless!

Stop motion was never something I was very interested in, but I had an idea and thought, "That would be a good thing to know how to do. How hard could it be??"

Uhm. Harder than you might think. Overall, I would say it really isn't that hard, and I'm sure that - like all things - it gets easier the more you do it.

And my first attempt was hindered by my outdated version of iMovie... Had I been using my old version of iMovie, editing would've taken me all of 10 minutes. But I had to download the new version and figure it out as I went.

I was pretty peeved about the whole thing, but to be honest, the new version looks pretty cool so once I have some time to get it all figured out, I'll get over it.

As for taking the actual photos for this..... That was time consuming. And aggravating. I definitely need a better setup next time, but for now, I'm good with it!

Also, I barely made June's post. For a minute there, I didn't think I was gonna make it thanks to some technical difficulties!

Parachute Concert

I wanted to get this video done a whiiiiile ago. Like the day after the concert. But here it is, two weeks later because I have a life.

Actually that's not even close to the truth. I was just working lot, it was Mother's Day, it was Connor's birthday, and probably the biggest hinderance was the space issue on my computer. I have 4 GBs left, so it's probably time to invest in an external hard drive. Because it's getting ridiculous.

Anyways, it was super fun and I already can't wait to see them again! You can never see your favorite band live too many times. This was the 4th time I've seen them, and the 3rd time Macy and I have gone together. They only get better!

Admittedly, not my best camera work, but all I had was my phone and I was having fun!

Parachute never disappoints! We had a blast!

To My Friends, All 4 of You

I don’t have a ton of friends. It used to bother me, but I've realized the friends I do have are forever, so I've made my peace with it. I’ve always said that I’d rather have a few great friends than a bunch of so-so friends, and that's what I have.

But I’ve never really thought about why I don’t have many friends, but it came to me when I gave it a few minutes. Just like I don’t like to call people because I feel like I’m interrupting them, I don’t like to ask people to hang out or do things with me because I feel like I’m bothering them. I feel like they have better things to do.

The friends I have now are the ones that never stopped trying. They’re the ones that wouldn’t ever leave me alone. They’re the ones who constantly asked me to hang out. They’re the ones that text me all the time or comment on everything on my Facebook or Tweet me all the time. They never gave up on me.

Just thinking about it gives me all the feels.

I don’t like to ask people to do things with me because I’m afraid that they won't want to and that I’m wasting their time. I don’t want to make people hang out with me.

So the people I have in my life are the ones who have worked hard and carved a special place in my heart.

It's true, I might have made them work a little too hard, and I'm sorry for that.

Some people may just think I’m lazy and put in no effort or I’m just a bitch, but this is the truth. When I first meet people, it takes me a LONG time to get comfortable around them. I’m not going to contact you because I don’t want to bother you.

It’s not that I don’t like you. It’s not that I don’t want to hang out with you. I’m not ignoring you. I don’t think I’m too good for you.

I’m just a little insecure and a little insane and I don’t want to bug you. I don’t always understand what the appeal to me is or why anyone would want to spend time with me because I’m not that great. Seriously, I really don't get it.

So to my friends – I hope you know who you are, I love you guys. More than you know. Thank you for never giving up on me.

XOXO, Ness

And since it's SPRING! Some flowers!

Covers That Are Better Than the Originals & Some That Are Just As Good

When someone covers a song, I either get really excited or really pissed. Because they either made it better/had a totally different take on it or they butchered it.

But I have heard some really good ones, and I felt like sharing! Fair warning, Ellie Goulding makes quite an appearance on the list. I didn't even put all the ones I wanted on here!

"Heartbeats" - Ellie Goulding, originally Jose Gonzalez

"Your Song" - Ellie Goulding, originally Elton John

"Sweet Disposition" - Ellie Goulding, originally Temper Trap

"Super Bass" - Nicolle Galyon, originally Nikki Minaj

"Pretty Girl Rock" - Parachute, originally Keri Hilson

"Chains" - Sam Tsui & Kina Grannis, originally Nick Jonas

"Boom Clap" - Lennon & Maisy, originally Charli XCX

"If I Die Young" - Joe Barnard & Deni Hlavinka, originally The Band Perry

"Let Her Go" - Jasmine Thompson, originally Passenger

"Walk the Line" - Halsey, originally Johnny Cash

Did I miss any good ones?!
